Usually if you hate someone they dont care. Mist the time they do not know the extent of your feelings. So hating fervently can often impact you more than the oter person, causing damage to your own health through unwarranted stress. Stress comes also, amongst other things, from overwhelming negative feelings. So hate is okay the moment you feel the feeling, all feelings are okay - it is what you do with the feelings tha are important. You can turn hate into compassion after you stop to understand and look at the other person's perspective. This will be your salvation as there is nothing more damaging to you than "sitting" in hateful feelings.

What you naturally feel and what you do are very different things.
Hatred, however, means that even if you try to be civil, you will make those microsecond faces that you can't control, in front of the hated people.
Oh, and you do that in front of anyone else you happen to be talking to , when the subject of the hated person comes up.
So, it's OK to naturally feel complete and utter revulsion. And then to attempt forgiveness. Not a best friendship, just forgiveness.
But unless a person actually killed oyur child, etc., you have no reason to let that feeling show on your face and bring such negativity into any of your relationships.
And it's better for your own mind if you let the chemicals of hatred go, too!

Hate is a very strong emotion. Is it ok? no, not really. hate puts out negative karma, bad muju if you will. according to the Zen oriented faiths, what you put out will come back to you. put out peace and peace will be with you, put out darkness and darkness follows you forever.
It is however our human frailty to feel anger and hatred so it seems unavoidable.
Rise above your human animal. When you find yourself angry or hateful, remind yourself, you're only harming yourself.
Here's a little factoid for you....
Strong emotions, anger, hatred, fear, all have equally detrimental effects on your physical state of being, a rise in blood-pressure, increased heart rate, increased hormonal activity which if left unchecked could begin to deteriorate the functionality of the brain, leading to depression, paranoia, a long list of psychosis.
Hate can ultimately kill you... think about that.

To hate and/or be mad at someone takes alot of wasted energy. Be disappointed, then the energy can go into thinking of ways that the person or you could of handled the situation that led to such a feeling. It will in return educate you and make you a better person.

Yes, BUT:

you have to have a valid reason,

you must periodically ensure your reason is valid,

you have to make sure the emotion is worth the effort,

you have to be sure you are not hating too many people or something is wrong with you.

So it may end up not being worth it ; sometimes; Better off to just 'not care' rather than hating.

I think it's ok to hate someone but there's a point where you have to forgive them and go on with your life. I dislike someone very much and I was always nervous to go around them or be like down the hall from them or something, but now I don't pay attention to them like I don't know them. Just ignore it and move on like I did. It works...trust me. But you have to understand that love is something you want in your life and I have it.

Ofcourse not. You may be offended but definitely a better solution must be sought inorder to settle a grievance instead of mounting anger in your precious heart even to allow for hate to rule. Dialogue leads to more joyous resolutions. Please try it whenever you have a conflict or dispute and find out how it works. Love them all no matter what they do or who they are.

you should never hate anyone, you may not like the way that person behaves, or like what that person does or says, but you should never hate the person! hate is a very strong emotion and it can lead to all sorts of trouble. you must be very careful!! remember that nobody is perfect! everyone has something that they can improve on.

You are an adult, or almost one.
You choose.
Negative emotions make you sick.
Positive ones lead to health and happiness.
When you hate, you are still involved.
When you detach and let emotions cool, your involvement lessens, and positive involvement can begin.
Life is finite. There is only so much.
How do you wish to spend it?
I try to hate as little as I can, myself.
