I have been a user of Playstation since the beginning....every single person i know who owns a 360 says they are awesome, BUT lacking that certain something that Sony ALWAYS get right.
Pick up any current Playstation magazine and find the pictures of the latest Gran Turismo (GT HD) and let the pictures speak for themselves......do yourself a favour, and wait for another couple of months, it will be worth it for sure.

There are over 2,500 questions on this topic. Please just search the Answers database. The PS3 is by far the best system. Built in blu-ray, free online gaming and built in wi-fi. Those 3 things alone would cost you $179.99 for an HD DVD player, $100.00 wi fi adapter and $50.00 a year for online gaming. Not to mention the PS3 has 6 axis control scheme. Also, the 60 GB PS3 is fully backwards compatabile with PS1 and PS2 games where as the 360 uses software emulation and only 35% of original xbox games work. However, the new 40g PS3 does not have backwards compatability. the 80 GB version uses Software emulation like the 360. So, if you get a PS3 get a 60 GB or your really screwing yourself. Right now the 360 has better games but remember its been out a full year ahead of the PS3. There are a bevy of PS3 titles in '08 that are going to crush the 360. (God Of War 3, Gran Turismo Prolugue, Haze, Metal gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy, Kingdom hearts, Killzone 2 and Little Big Planet. there is about 10 more exclusives for the PS3 that look amazing. So, right now the 360 has more games to choose from. But, the future looks bright for the PS3 and there are allot of great PS3 games now including Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, resistance and Heavenly Sword. And oh yeah the 360 has a 33% failure rate, So, chances are you will need to send it in for repair ( i'm on #4)

Lol ur better getting the Ps3 but the launch day passed and ur not gona get it on Xmas unless someone wil bought it for u! The 360 is worth waiting and will be sold out since it is Xmas and yea u wont find a sytem avaliable. U better hope someone got 1 for u. But i say u get PS3 because soooooo far i havent heard any problems but the 360 alot of ppls broke. There are still bugs to fix on it.

I've alaways been a Playstation fan but friends of mine who have a 360 say its the bee's knee's plus a lot of reports put the PS3 around the £450-500 mark.Even with the premium package around the £260 price you'll be able to get a few games before you even get near the console price of a PS3

launch day passed bud, but i guess u meant the second major shipment day, which won;t be till next yr sometiem aorund februrary so good luck. Yes, ps3 wil lbe better than 360, and i don;t recommend getting a 360. I just got a wii and it's great, so i recommned getting a wii (thyre laot cheaper and way easier to get), and then u wait for ps3 nxt yr if can afford both systems. (which is wht im doing)

stuff them both & pre-order a wii - at £179 it's a bargain & looks way more fun than the other two.
The 360 does look pretty good on a decent hi-def telly though.
I'm going for the wii then I'll probably get a PS3 or Xbox a year or a year & a half later when the price is a bit more respectable and it'll be obvious which one is best!

the ps3 may be powerful, but it is going to have a lack of games due to the cost of development. the 360 is alround brilliant. it is powerful, great lookin and has some pretty sick games project gothem, gears of war, just cause, and my faviourate ASSASINS CREED. however, i am getting the wii

i would not buy the PS3 yet there are many glitches still and I know this from teacher's husband who is high up in the video game business.
