I currently own a dell latitude cpi A366xt and to be honest I HATE it! I have had nothing but problems I am interested in a few other laptops Toshiba Satellite Pro L100, Acer Travelmate 2428WXMi, Fujitsu Siemens AMilo Pro V2030 and the HP NX6325.

I tried searching the web but no luck does anyone out there own any of these 4 laptops? if so can you tell me what you think.

I will never own a dell again and want to pick out of these 4 as they are the only ones www.student-laptops.co.uk (where I bought the dell reconditioned for £159.) that are available in my price range.

Any advice will be of great use. Any PC wizards or companys want to fix my dell and update it then let me know lol.

hey i am answering this question based on past experience, the best laptps are Toshiba then Sony, then Fujitsu then all the rest main makes, then DELL, i had a dell and the mother board blew up twice, and cost me 200 pounds every time, then just scrapped it took the hard drive and thru it in my room somwhere, no all i can tell you is if you are buying a laptop and price is no issue then go for a toshiba, by dad had one and now owns a fujitsu seimens, and he loves it to bits it never caused him any trouble, and the toshiba he owned he still has it and it has windows 95 and still works perfectly and goes onnline to this day.
even the battery still last for up to 30 mins. honestly trust me on that one you want a toshiba as they are the best ever in our houshold we own me and my family 4 toshibas and one fujitsu and one acer, and the acer is shite coz it crashed for no reason.

I recently bought a new laptop and it's a beaut! I went through similar choices as you but eventually settled on an ASUS. Asus are lesser known hardware producers for many of the other companies such as Toshiba and Sony. No battery problems, excellent value, mine has 1 gig RAM and 80 gig hard drive, and a two year international warranty comes as standard! (Asus is the only company to offer this). The RAM can also be upgraded to 2gig. Go for it. Buy it new from a reputable dealer and you're away. As far as I know, you can't upgrade a Dell.
