How can I paint over tile in my shower, I'm a do it yourself person?

I answer this same Q so often,,, I am baffled that ppl ask,,, No offense.

Ceramic Tile = Oven fired, usually glazed CLAY = GLASS.

Not at all meant to be painted.

Really,,, I have no reason to be flip,,, but forget it. E mail me if you wish for more details regarding my opinion.

I've applied thousands of gallons of paint, and installed thousands of sq. ft. of tile,,, and consider this,, no matter any other advice... Fire,,, Versus,,, Water.

you can buy paint for glass/tile at paint stores but it wont last and then you will have a big mess on your hands and in my opinion this never looks good you would be better off to spend the time and money and just replace the tile

if you are doing the shower do yourself a favor and use the same kit as for the bathtub. it is a tub and tile paint. other wise there is no guarantee that it will not eventually peal off.

You can now buy floor paint at Ace Hardware, we did and painted 200 sq.ft. kitchen it looks beautiful. Make sure you clean it good and it's a water based paint so, not to worry.

Clean the tile to a spotless condition, use sandpaper and rough up the finish a little, then prime with epoxy primer. paint with epoxy paint and you are done.

clean tiles and use primer paint for tiles and finish with whatever couler you want but always use tile paint

Buy a good epoxy paint, go to Home Depot they can also give you instructions.

also make sure you use water proof paint, the paint store can help you on that one
