Just as long as you wear gloves and a mask you should be just fine. Congrats!

As long as you are in a well ventilated area and don't inhale the fumes, it should be ok. When my hairdresser was preggo she wore one of those little white masks in her salon if she had to do a perm or dye job. And always wore protective gloves. She's had 4 children and these are the precautions she always took. All her kids are fine!!
So open the window, turn on a fan, wear a little white mask, a put on the gloves....

It won't hurt a thing. I asked my ob/gyn about this when I was first pregnant a few years ago because I wanted to color my hair. She told me that hair dye would hurt my hair a lot more than it would ever hurt my baby so I definitely think it won't hurt a thing to dye someone else's hair either.

Typically you dont want to until you're over 12 weeks. Anything you inhale or absorb through the skin the baby also takes in. And this is the point where its developing all its vital organs and systems, and it doesnt have a way to expell those sorts of toxins from its body.
I'd wait.

Hello. My name is Dr. Grimes. You should not have contact with dye. It is unknown if handling dye is harmful but I would have to say not to take the chance for the safety of your child.

to the best of my knowledge, it's completely safe to color someone elses' hair. My sister-in-law is a hairdresser and she still worked while she was pregnant. I think they just suggest not to color your own hair during the first part of a pregnancy.

Dyeing would be okay; but not Bleaching. That gives off more caustic fumes and would definitely be bad for the baby!

No back a long time ago people worried about this.
But it isn't like that anymore. It will be safe, go ahead and make your hair pretty!
I'm sure you have that magical glow already :)
Congrats!
