I have found that in many of those cases, terrible things have never happened to them or those they love causing them to believe it could never happen to them or those they loved.

Some people, I have come to the conclusion,...may have been abused in their lives, and will use it on their behalf, to gain whatever it is that they are lacking in, wether it is material things,..money...attention, etc...instead of trying to help others and being thankful that they are even alive...they then become burdensome and nasty, when not getting their ways, from what I have observed...how long can someone keep driving their hard luck into the ground? As long as you aren't six feet under, pushing up daisys, you can change anything you want in this world.....instead of depending on others to save you and putting their lives in turmoil while in the process...I have known people who were almost destroyed as kids,...and they have decided to rise above it, and they are the ones who DON"T take like for granted...great question

People are not taught to appreciate the small things around them, let alone something as big as life. People try and ruin other people's lives for many different reasons such as jealousy, hatred, etc. It is part of them now being able to be happy with themselves and don't want anyone else to be happy either.

Do they have a biological disorder? Do they have good role models to follow? And, are they American? You have to figure out how to go against the flow to not take things for granted in this country... you only want what you don't or can't have, ad we can pretty much have it all, relaitvely speaking!

I believe you should take life for granted in a positive way. We are given so much in life. On the other hand being selfish is a no-no, it's greed.
