The Republic of Peru is not "owned" by anyone except for the people of Peru. It is a sovereign nation. Francisco Pizarro established and named Peru as a Spanish territory in 1531. Independence from Spain was claimed on July 28, 1821, and final independence was secured 3 years later.

our independece day is july 28 and Lima, the capital of Peru was founded on 1821 by a spanish guy called Francisco Pizarro
