No, it's an old wives tale with no medical evidence to support it. I've asked fertility experts about this myself. Speaking as someone who's married to a man with a low sperm count it would be nice if it was that easy as I'd have been forcing ice cubes down my hubby's pants years ago! LOL

Experts say that keeping the testicles cool helps keep sperm healthy. Also they say wear loose fitting boxers dont put your mobile in your pockets and dont put anything by your testicles that generates heat. You can try putting cold water on the testicles if you want to it wont cause any harm. If i was you i would get a book on this matter because there are foods that can help increase the sperm count. Good luck.

Nope; you might decrease it though. Remember testicles require a temperature just slightly under normal body temperature in order to achieve maximum sperm output. Thus ice being so cold would tend to inhibit production. Similarly setting them in a fire would like wise lower production but from excess heat rather than excess cold. Thus I would not recommend packing them in ice but if you want a little thrill, try rubbing an ice cube up the middle of the scrotum and along the underside of the penis to the tip. I suspect you will find that to be quite a turn on.

No, you could possibly decrease you sperm count by doing that. The sperm need to live at a temperature that just slightly cooler than your body temp. So any drastic change in temp for a long period of time (Hot Tub, Ice, etc) will kill/damage some of your sperm.

Are you kidding?
If your sperm count is low, you can try stopping all smoking , drinking and poor diet.
There isn't a whole lot you can do; but removing toxins from your lifestyle may give your sperm a better chance of survival.
Ice cold water will just freeze your balls off.

Yes, you could. If you wear tight underpants, buy some boxer shorts and wear these instead. Leave longer breaks between having intercourse. Put on some soft lights and music when you do have intercourse and relax. Hope you have some good news soon. All the best.
