Freelanders are complete bloody rubbish. Avoid them like the plague, in fact, avoid all Land Rovers like the plague, they are all sh*it.

Buy a Japanese vehicle, preferably a Toyota. Buy a Land Rover at your own risk, and be prepared for pain if you do.

if you buy a freelander be wary, look out for the ones with the k-seres engines they have a metal and silicon head gasket and are prone for blowing, you can get them replaced when they do go but are not guaranteed, this is a Major design fault and land-rover have admitted it, my opinion from experience is steer well clear.

Crap springs to mind. I honestly woudn't bother. They suffer problems with just about everything. The engines and transmittions are very weak. You would be better off with a Toyota or Mitsubishi.

Check out if they have solved the gearbox troubles. They were breaking up after only a few miles. YES to all your other questions, but they are classy, now owned by Ford.

They suck big time.
If your going to spend the money on something at that level. Do yourself a favor and spend the money on something of quality. i.e. something that will not cost you an arm and a leg to maintain when it breaks....and YES its going to break.
