I lived in Colliers Wood for three years and am still amazed that there are no gay bars in the area! The Marquess Of Lorne in South Wimbledon has I believe closed down but Hardy's at The Trafalgar on Tooting High Street remains; it's 'gay-friendly' though rather than gay so it's great fro a drink with mates but less so for pulling if that's what you're after.

If you drive (or can be arsed with the tube/night bus) then the Kazbar and Two Brewers on Clapham High Street and Barcode Vauxhall in, er, Vauxhall are easy enough to reach meaning you can be out on the scene without having to schlep into Soho (or more to the point, get back!)

Hope that helps.

I know what you mean. I live in South Wimbledon and there use to be a gay bar but it closed down. Since then I always have to travel to the city and sometimes just wish I could go out around the corner. Maybe we should just take over a pub or something.
