Used to think 40+ was old, but now that I'm nearing that age I'd say 90...

That depends on your own perception. When I was 5, 15 seemed old. When I was 10, 30 seemed ancient. Now that I'm going to be 30, old tends to be in the 60 range and above.

"Old" is a subjective term meaning an age you can't yet conceive of, nothing more. When we hit that age we once considered old, it doesn't feel old anymore, and old then becomes an age we have yet to reach.

Summary .... if you don't stress about the future and worry only about now, you'll never be old ;)

definately depends on your age as age is relative. Some people say ten or twenty years older than you are but for me it workd a different way.

When i was younger i thought that grown-ups were boring serious and never had any fun,,,then i became one (i am 24) and socialise with people from (21-61) and find it really difficult to tell the difference.

I never take people's ages into account but i would say if the oldest (non-related) person you know is 61, then 62 should seem old!

Anytime after the age of 37, the new age at which "life begins".
It used to be 40 in the 20th century, but in this one it's 37 as some younger people burn themselves out earlier due to increased stress in the modern world.

Considering some of my mates were calling me "over the hill" when I got to 30 - yes 30! - it's slightly worrying. However, old age is considered to be mid to late 60's or early 70's.

I suppose the age were you start whinging about everything under the sun, bang into people without saying sorry, wear dark dismal colours and act boring and miserable and never see the good things in life, I'm 49 and love life and really hope I never get old and miserable.

It comes with a lot of perspective...at 3 thirty is old. At 30 60 is old. What is your perspective?
