Ok this tip really works for both knees and elbows.
Take some milk like a 1/8th of a cup. and put 1/2 lemons juice in it. Apply this curddles milk onto area and rub....leave for 15 minutes and wash with luke warm water.
Now take a pumice stone and gently rub so thatdeadskin starts to fall of in forms of rubbery material.

I have naturally disgusting elbows, especially in winter.
I use a pumice stone to scrape off the nasty crunchy stuff in the bath or shower, then use a lanolin stretch mark cream on them at night
a quicker (and smellier) fix is to put Vick's Vapo Rub on your elbows and wrap them in plastic wrap over night
