I wonder how Jesus feels about Christmas, too. I wonder if He looks at those who claim to love Him then mistreat their fellowman...

I am a native AMERICAN indain, we do not celebrate thanksgiving as the rest do, if you really think about it, it was the beginning of the end for our tribes and our ways, for they seen us as heathens and they wanted our land, hook or crook, the justified there means. AS with christmas, its turned into such a shallow price spending spree, we know GOD"S son was not born on dec 25th, the time line does not match up, Think it would make them sad and very much does, as we should have him in our hearts every single day, and not put on a show

I will start by reminding you that you may not want categorize ALL Natives into possibly holding ONE general opinion. For instance, I have Native friends and fam. who range from devout catholic to atheist and everything in between. And there are just as many points of view. I personally use the day to enjoy my family as much as possible. I dont agree with the celebration of genocide, etc., but I will use the time allotted in my own way to enjoy the good things I have - family, home and food. I have many native friends who are activists and who will participate in various protests across the country. Oh yes, and did you know that November is National Native American Heritage month? Thanks for seeking the knowledge. Now you can help educate others. I appreciate that.
