If you listen to the music, you can see into what he is saying ... People who have been raised in not so great ways have choices, they can wind up on drugs, or they can search deep into their soul and find what quality they have that would help them to rise above what tore them down.
It enables to build your self back up. Although I don't listen to him on a regular basis, I heard with my heart what he has been saying in so many of the lyrics.
So there is really no comparison....
