Does anyone know where to get those hoops (possibly hulla hoops) we all used to have as kids and swing round our hips. Any shops to buy them?, the girlfriend wants one as a keep fit thing

You can buy hula hoops at Toys R' us or even at Wal-Mart. Try the closest toy stores near you.

Long before they were fashionable and on sale in toy shops, we used to play with them.... yes, I AM that old.....
We would go to our local hardware store and get them to cut a length of 1" insulating pipe - black rubber/plastic piping used to lag copper pipes.
Then you just put a slit in one end and stick the other end into it, and Voila - a hula hoop!
That brings me back...

Our dollar store sells them as well as Walmart. They are very inexpensive, Most toy stores sell them as well.

I just bought my daughter one in the toys department of KMart. They had all different sizes!
