Yes it could be a sign of early pregnancy, or it could be a hundred other reasons. I have fainted three times in my life. the first time I worked a 7 hour shift as a waitress without a single bit of food, and collapsed as I was about to go home. The second I was too hot in town, and the third I stopped taking some medication too soon, and without weaning myself off the tablets, and it caused me to faint. Are there any other reasons as to why you think she may be pregnant? Talk to her first before you mention it to her mum as it could get messy!!

I fainted all the time as a teenager.
Some people have vesal vegal reactions (the spelling is wrong, but thats how it sounds). Usually when nervousness causes an adrinaline rush, the body responds by increasing the blood pressure and heart rate, causing an 'ampted up' feeling that gives us a surge of energy.
People with vesal vegal reactions dont always process the adrenaline that way. Instead their bodies 'shut down' so to speak. Their blood pressure drops when their heart rates increase, causing tightness in the chest, a diaphram that feels like its half way up your rib cage, and resulting in you passing out.
A lot of the women in my family have this. And it didnt set in until the teenage years.
While its possible she's pregnant, its not a likely sign of pregnancy. It could just be her body's natural way of handling stress.

I fainted once when I was 15 and my mum straight away accused me of being pregnant. Of course, I wasn't. It's very common for teenage girls to faint, and dehydration is a cause of fainting. The reasons why girls faint are generally unknown, but pregnancy isn't the most common cause.

I have heard that fainting is common in pregnancy. However, teenagers have a thing with appearances so maybe she may have a self esteem problem, or a eating disorder. More kids have these problems because no one controls their kids like they should anymore, that's not to say your sister doesn't control her kid(s). I'm just saying that parents should be more involved in their children's life. I hope nothing is wrong and I hope your sister gets the issue solved.

I had 2 babies and never fainted, do not know of anyone who has.
other problems could be:
not eating
not intaking fluids
axorexia or eating disorder of some kind
diabetes
Most likely it is self starvation, most popular with today's young women. She will learn how to starve and not faint over time OR
she could see a doctor to find for sure.

Yes it is a sign of pregnancy. But I have fainted a couple times and it was just from being light headed/ standing up too fast. Although it is a sign of pregnancy, there could be many other things it could have been from.

Do you have any reasons for thinking she is pregnant other than the fainting?. I mean, you dont want to assume that and be wrong. My sister once fainted and the doctor told us thatteenage girls often faint for no apparent reason. I know, "what the heck?" but it is true.
