98 is the operating system(OS) before 2000 and after 2000 comes XP they obviously get better the newer they are. The next one will be Windows Vista. 2000 is still pretty good but XP is the best you can get right now. and it looks better. but yes 98 sucks

xp has vivid colors, pleasant look, sounds.....
98 ,2000 pro dont have these. 98,2000 are not that easy. xp has advanced facilities like cd-writing(without spl s/w installed),........

2000 was good but for business only, not friendly with games and such.
XP is better, easier to use and game friendly
