As the ship sailed from Southhampton to New York City, I think the passengers all felt as if they were the luckiest people in the world. To be on the largest moving object in the world in luxury many had not seen before.

At the time of her sinking, one surviror said there was a feeling of disbelief at what was happening. Shock as the ship sank, sorrow after the ship sank.

In only a little more than 2 hours, those people went from the luckiest people in the world to the most unlikiest in the world. It shows how quickly life can change.

Try to put yourself in their place. Some day, look at the clock at 11 40 and picture yourself on the Titanic. Then at 2 20, look at the clock and know the ship has just sunk. You are either in the water freezing to death or in a lifeboat listening to your loved ones freeze to death not far away. Try to capture that feeling for your preseentation.

I was going to say they felt like they were getting the cold shoulder, but I can't beat that first answer.
