We need a good conservative republican to run, so far Guliani and McCain are too liberal so neither of those two.

Right now I think Hillary Clinton is the best choice. I may change my mind after I see her national platform, but for now she is my first choice. I like Obama, but he just doesn't have enough practical experience. Perhaps a Clinton/Obama ticket would be feasible. As a moderate Independent I have had enough of the Republicans to last me a decade. I guess a lot of us feel this way if you look at the mid-terms. I can't see that attitude changing toward the Republican Party. In order to win in 2008 the Republicans would have to find the impossible: a moderate candidate you all can agree on. Right wing hype isn't going to make it in 2008, the Republicans are going to have to not only sing a new tune, they better find a new method of campaigning other than slander and over the top slippery slope arguments.
