"I Feel Love" is a song by Donna Summer, taken from her 1977 concept album I Remember Yesterday. The song originally symbolised the 'future' segment of the album, which loosely depicted a musical trip through time.
Before "I Feel Love", most disco recordings were backed up by acoustic orchestras. [1] Although the likes of Kraftwerk had earlier pioneered all-electronic music, it has been said that it is the first disco-style song recorded with an entirely synthesized backing track, and has been enormously influential in the development of disco, electronica and techno music, thanks to Giorgio Moroder's innovative production. In particular, the song popularised the galloping bass line, which has been frequently imitated ever since.
In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked it #411 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
