I get alot of alerts that my virtual memory is low and I know it's because I have so many programs that start up automatically when I log on. But how do I stop all these things from starting?

go 2 start and click run.. type in msconfig, click ok.. a page will show up, click startup tab at top and go through the list of what you want and need 2 open at start up.. if you mess up, you can always go back and redo it..

There is a startup folder that contains programs that will automatically startup every time you reboot your machine. If there are software you do not wish to startup every time, you can remove them. These files in the startup folder are shortcut so it is okay to delete them. The 'real' software are still on your machine in the directory c:\program files.

The startup folder is located at c:\documents and settings\\start menu\programs\startup

Good luck.
