the X terms of y means get x by itself it simply first look at the problem,
3x+2y=9
whats the easy way to get x by it self. subtract 2y. because that we will have have the 3x on 1 sides. We subtract because when we move the varible to the other side of the equation we do the opposite. If its being add we subtract and etc.
3x+2y=9
-2y
3x=9-2y simply enough so then we want the x only so we divide it by three because it is being multiplied.
3x/3 = 9-2y/3
three divided by 3 is 1 or x. Then on the other side 9 divided by 3 is 3 and by -2 will be a decimal so we keep it as a fraction like this
x= -2y/3 + 3

3x + 2y = 9..... Eq 1
x + y = 3..... Eq 2
Consider Eq 2
x + y = 3
x = 3 - y
Substitute this value of 'x' in Eq 1
3x + 2y = 9
3(3 - y) + 2y = 9
9 - 3y + 2y = 9
9 - y = 9
-y = 9-9
-y = 0
y = 0
Substitute the value of 'y' in Eq 2
x + y = 3
x + 0 = 3
x = 3
(x = 3, y = 0)

3x + 2y = 9
2y = 9 - 3x
y = 4.5 - 1.5x
3x + 2y = 9
3x = 9 - 2y
x = 3 - (2/3)y
