Australia currently lead by 626 runs, if they bat on for a further hour England could be set 700+ to win! As the Test record for a fourth innings is 418-7 (WI v Australia, 2002-03) and the first class record 513-9 (Central Province v Southern Province in Sri Lanka, 2003-04), I think we can safely say that it's impossible for England to win.
An equivalent in other sports? Mohammed Ali in his prime losing to Julian Clary? In other words I don't believe you could seriously find an equivalent in another sport.

I'd rate it in football terms like a team being 6-0 down and battling back to win 7-6,it could happen but no team has ever done it in the premiership or championship.
Or personally it's like my team,Crystal Palace, battling back from the start they've had to the season and finishing first or second-it's possible and I want it to happen but it's a bit much to ask.

Win what Cricket?
In football terms it would be like coming back from 3 nil down and going on to win the F.A. cup final in the last 10 mins.

well i am guessing you meant in the cricket. the equivalent in a dream would be England winning the world cup. Please remember i said DREAM. Norwich city winning the premiership and crystal palace being put down two leagues would be my equivalent achievement.
