It depends where you live. Local authority run theatres who show films when there aren't any stage shows sometimes do discounts.
I live in East Anglia and we have a regional group called Hollywood Cinemas. They do a discount card which is available to anyone who can be bothered to ask which lets in adults at child prices.
When I was in Cambridge last, I saw that Cineworld had a card where you paid £9.00/month to see as many movies as you want, which is quite a good deal if you go more than two times a month. I'll probably take advantage of this offer when I move over there.
I have heard that one of the main stream national cinemas does discount entry for the disabled, but I can't remember which this is.

If you can afford £10.99 a month then you can get a pass to cineworld and go as many times a month as you want!
I have one and it is fantastic as even if you don't have any money youcan still go out and see a movie!

Well worth the money!

Although not a concession, you can get free tickets to films before the release date by using www.seefilmfirst.com
