Depends on what area of California you are referring to,north and south Ca is mostly conservative republicans or conservative democrats,its when you hit San Fran,LA,Oakland and big cities it is liberal democrats and liberal so called republicans.But since the votes of the bigger cities supercede smaller cities and rural,it is liberal democrats that get the rule.
