I changed the hepa filter & it didn't help. It's a bagless vacuum. Any ideas?

Hi

It could be that the belt is broken or about to break. Most likely you got a string or carpet string wrapped around the bar that turns underneath and that stops the belt from turning. You may have to take the bottom apart and check for tears in the rubber belt. If it's torn, get another one. They are only about $5.00. Also if you have a cheap vaccum such as a Eureka and you sucked up a coin or other large object, it will go throught the engine and then it is ruined and unfixable. I know this because I have my own housecleaning business and have used every kind of vaccum out there.

If you have to buy a vaccum, just don't get Cheap Eureka, Dirt devil or Bissel; Kirbys are also just paperweights(they work great but heavy and awkward).

My favorite is the Hoover Windtunnel and you can get bagless; their filters are expensive, so I use a scrub brush or dry paint brush get out all dust particles. Sometimes I even wash the filters and let dry. You can make them last up to 1 year. The vaccum costs about $250.00 but well worth it.

Another vaccum that I found is the Shark bagless. The handle turns into a wand that you can add attatchments to. Also the filter is completely washable. This is also a vaccum that is about $90.

I hope that this will help you

When I first moved into my apartment it smelled like smoke so bad that my coworkers were asking me if I started smoking because my clothes smelled like smoke. I've been living there for a year now and my clothes still smell some. 1. You could spray febreeze on the furniture. 2. Have plug in air fresheners (you can buy them cheaper at Dollar General) 3. I put baking soda on the carpets for about a day and then vacuumed, but since you don't have carpet you could use it on the rugs. 4. OH! I know! You could buy one of those ummm.....I don't know what it's called, but you put a tea cup candle in the bottom and above the candle you can put some liquid smelly stuff. The candle will warm up the liquid and it'll smell the whole house. My mom got me one at Bath and Body Works at Christmas time. I have a small one bedroom apartment and if I use too much of the liquid it smells really really strong. The liquid is called Home Liquid Fragrence Oils. See the link below for what I'm talking about.

The motor could be going bad if it isn't the belt.
