Last friday they showed a repeat, was told that there was a message put on screen after show explaining what had happen can you tell me waht it was all about.

The player in question was supposed to be a woman named Amanda, who had been on for 23 shows. The show is filmed in advance (this episode was filmed in early October), but since that date, recently in the last week or so, her stepson died. The funeral could have been on Friday itself, so quite sensibly as a mark of respect, Endomol/C4 cancelled the episode and replaced it with a repeat of Kirsty's game from April who won £75K. It is quite likely that her stepson could have been in the auidence or alluded to in the customary 'photos' section at the beginning of the show, so the decision to not air the show was probably quite an easy one. The caption in question at the end of the show read "In memory of Gareth Edwards, stepson of contestant Amanda, who was due to play today. Our thoughts are with you."

The stepson of the scheduled player died, and as a mark of respect, they postponed her show. Chances are, they were talking about the stepson and she had a picture of him on screen or something, so it would have been quite inappropriate to show the episode. It was made clear at the beginning of the show that the show was going to be a repeat... and that message was shown at the end. Perfectly acceptable behaviour if you ask me.
