How many of you have cheated on someone you love or have been cheated on and how did it affect your relationship? I never cheated on anyone but been cheated on its like a stab in the back

I've been cheated on, one of the worst feelings in the world. Once he confessed I broke up with him. We got back together for a few months, but I just couldn't deal with it (the only reason I tried to make it work was for our son who was special needs). He wanted to marry me and even offered to let me cheat so we would be "even" with each other. I told him that it doesn't work that way, he should've thought about our family before his d*ck, he didn't know what that girl had and could've brought it home to me.
Btw, the girl got pregnant and after the blood test was done, that's when he told me. Now he is with her and I think that they are just about due to have another baby (if she hasn't had it already). It still very painful because his girlfriend (I use the term loosely because that's not what I call her) had the nerve to approach me 2 wks after our son passed away and tell me that she had been fooling around with him the entire time he and I were together. Let's put it like this: she was very lucky she was 4 months pregnant when she said this because until she was pregnant she avoided me because she was terrified of me, and for good reason: HE was even scared of me and thought I would do something to BOTH of them. And I would really like to, but I don't feel it's necessary. He cheated on me for a long time, she slept with everyone she could get her hands on while she was PREGNANT, so I'm sure that they'll wind up doing much worse to each other.

Have never cheated on anyone. My husb didn't cheat on me but wanted to - told me so and I left. I don't want someone like that around me. (Especially not after all we had been through together!) He may as well have just slapped me in the face (but had his reputation to think of)
Anyway it hurts just knowing he wanted to cheat, probably would have been worse if I knew he was already cheating. THAT would have been the slap in the face. (but again the only reason he didn't actually go ahead with cheating was that he had his reputation to think of)

I would never cheat on my husband. To my knowledge, I have never been cheated on by past boyfriends and I am sure that my husband does not cheat on me. I imagine it would be devastating to me if I found out that he did cheat. I do not know that I could stay in a marriage without trust.

I've never cheated on anyone, but every guy I've dated has cheated on me. When I found out, their butts were to the curb, I don't tolerate cheaters. Being cheated on is one of the worse feelings in the world.

I have cheated and been cheated on.
It has affected trust somewhat but we are still together. We will always be together. You have to be capable of separating love from sex. It is only a big deal if you make it a big deal.

the relationship lost trust still friends to a degree
but the fence between us is solid

well ive been cheated on and been the cheater. i dont like either one. it really sucks to lose someone you love because of something you did, that didnt even mean anything to you. do dont ever do it. i would never cheat again. ecspecially with my boyfriend now. hes wonderful i love him and hes the best . i could never even think of that.

My ex cheated on me. I found out two or three weeks ago. He left his msn on and she messaged him. She told me everything, he had told her that he was living with two friends. We were on and off for 5 years. He says he's sorry, but I don't believe him. We are over and I can never trust him again. He was the only one I could really trust in my life. It only made me stronger though.
