Well according to the Bible, it will eventually be a blessed nation that will bring peace throughout that area.
The Bible was also written by man and merely a guide of what could happen in years to come, not what will happen.
So I guess I will put it this way, as long as the US surives as a country in the manner we are now, Israel will survive as a nation. Without our financial support Israel would be wiped off the face of the earth.

The nation of Israel in last 4000 years are still 13 Million;
While the nation of Islam, commenced 1400 years a go and now are more than 2,000,000,000. Twio Billion and every day growing!
However, the Nation of Israel is going to remain as the smallest group who were one of the main root of the type of Religion called "Abrahamism" commenced with Prophet Abraham and Christen and Islam are newer UP TO DATE developing more sense in social life.
