Many things can cause a miscarriage, but the most common is some kind of deformity in the baby that causes your body to reject it. Being diabetic can cause babies to not be able to go to term also. Extreme stress, illness, food poisoning, trauma to the stomach, Incompetent Cervix. Many causes.

There are many factors that can contribute to a miscarriage but in the end they have no idea. There are many reasons why a woman can/may have a miscarriage such as trauma to the abdomen, certain diseases/infections.

When you consider that most miscarriages are within the first twelve weeks after conception doctors think that most miscarriages are due to chromosomal defects that the baby has that prevent it from growing any further.
