ARRANGED marriages and FORCED marriages are DOFFERENT things. 2 totally different things.

It depends on the arranged marriage, if the girl gets to know the man really well, and decides without being forced, then she can use her mind in the right way, and choose the man she thinks that will make her happy, she should accept him mentally and physically, not only her mind, but also she should remember that she will share his bed and that is very important for the marriage.
Love marriages is different , the couple tend to turn their eyes away from what annoys them in their partner, and always think that the lover will change and that is wrong, that is why marriage is a total shock for lovers cause the truth reveals and nobody changes, a marriage is both, the head and the heart, we should use both to decide.

It all depends on whether the couple become compatible or not. i mean i had an arranged marriage but because our ideas and thoughts began to differ too much i am now going through a divorce. i believe that there should be a period before the marriage where the 'couple' can get to know each other. it saves alot of pain n heart ache later!
with regards to which works out better..... i personally would think that love marriage would work better!

I think that in arranged marriages you don't think that love will get you through so you work hard at it. In love marriages you think that you know the person and sometimes people don't try. In arranged marriages I think that people have lower expectations of the other person, not in a bad way but in a love marriage they expect too much and quite often they get disappointed. The other thing is arranged marriages are often with people who have stong religious beliefs and for them marriage and family are more important so they try harder...somtimes i think it would be nice if my family would arrange a marriage for me.!!!

robbief... there's a difference between FORCED marriage and ARRANGED marriage, quick to put it down just because you don't really know anything about either of them.
Arranged marriages, are marriages chosen by parents rather than the couple concerned, but the couple do have a say in it and can decide if they want to go ahead with it or not. Well, along those lines anyway.
I dont know about the question though, too difficult to say.

I would say that that really depends on the 2 people in that marriage, regardless of whether their marriage was fixed, arranged or a love one.

I think marriage works when both parties involved work at the relationship. Arranged or not, marriage is not always a bed roses 100% of the time.

Oddly enough I find that seems to be the case too. Although arranged marriages are few and far between anymore. Why? I have no idea! If you figure it out, e-mail me! I would love to know the answer to this one!

I sure wouldn't marry someone by force.. NO WAY!! It will never work out.. Cause if you don't love each other truly, someones gonna seek love and affection outside the marriage.. Who ever on earth would even think such a thing!! Peace :)

If you're forced to marry, you don't have much choice in divorcing, do you? The people that forced the marriage would probably kill the woman if she tried to get out of the arrangement they'd made for her.
