If you have lived in the property why do you feel you shouldn't pay the rent?.....

Without a lease there is no proof of the amount of rent you were supposed to have paid. Also there is nothing stating how long you were to live there. However, you know whether or not you had made a deal with someone. If you were living there and not paying rent then you should pay up what you owe.

Your question is a little confusing, however if you are referring to past due rent then yes you are obligated, and can be sued, and a wage garnishment can be taken against you. If you are referring to rent that you would have owed if you had not moved, then without a contract or lease then you have no obligation.
