Are you positive your doctor gave you the right diagnosis? If so, the best way to treat and cure tennis elbow is tennis lessons. Chances are that on your back hand you are extending your wrist, the muscles that do this are on your lateral epicondyle, therefore your pain would be here as well. Fix the source of pain, do not mask the pain. That would be like putting a piece of black tape over the light in your car that tells you your gas is almost empty. Either put gas so the light doesn't turn on, or put tape to cover it so you don't notice the light is on.

Cortisone is a form or cortisol, the body's hormone that is released during stress which is responsible for catabolism. Research TO THIS DATE states there are no side effects, but that was the same thing said about nutrasweet in the beginning, and now we are finding out it causes formaldehyde build up in the eyes and brain. The reason they limit one shot every 6 months is to allow your body to repair any damages caused by the injection.

I had a cortisone shot 5 weeks ago, my elbow felt fine for 3 weeks but then my elbow pain came roaring back worse than before the injection. I have been using this tennis elbow secrets program now for 5 days and my elbow feels much better. I can really feel my arm getting stronger as each day passes.

Friend is right but the doctor needed to give you one more, if it worked then fine but next time make sure doctor is aware of the both shots and the dosage may need to call the doctor to get the info.

Most shots can be taken few more times under doctor's supervision and certain conditions.

The list of adverse effects to steroids is indeed long, but if you're young and otherwise healthy, two or three injections in a year aren't likely to hurt you. I imagine the orthopedist has discussed/will discuss other therapies depending on further progress.

Is your friend a doctor? I assume your regular doctor sent you to a physiologist, who can more properly diagnose your condition. If you have any questions about your medical treatment, you should be asking that doctor, not relying on what your friends or weirdos on this site will offer.

Where did ur friend get her medical license? What was it that the first dr injected in ur arm? Here is a site that might answer some of ur questions. U will be fine, and ur friend is wrong.
