People can get gray hair at any age. Some people go gray at a young age - as early as when they are in high school or college - whereas others may be in their 30s or 40s before they see that first gray hair. How early we get gray hair is determined by our genes. This means that most of us will start having gray hairs around the same age that our parents or grandparents first did.
Gray hair is more noticeable in people with darker hair because it stands out, but people with naturally lighter hair are just as likely to go gray. From the time a person notices a few gray hairs, it may take more than 10 years for all of that person's hair to turn gray.

1st I must thank the good Lord for giving me the genes I have. I'm 39 & don't have a strand of gray. On the other hand I have a friend in her 20's who's almost totally gray so she has to color her hair. Ultimately the choice is up to you & gray does make one look old. If you're willing to make the commitment of continuing to dye your hair then I'd say cover the gray. I know when I start getting gray, I will be coloring it. My father is 65 & only has a few strands of gray at his temples. Hopefully, I will be like that & won't have to dye until I'm much older.

I say this... If your hair is going gray then embrace it.... Nothing to be ashamed of. It shows signs of maturity no need to start trying to hold back the aging clock. If the hair on your head is beginning to turn gray then eventually hair "everywhere" will be gray too... But at the end of the day if it is a major problem for you and it is affecting you on more than a not really a superficial level but more emotionally then by all means.... change it. Its all about how you look at yourself not the opinion of others.

No I think you are to young if you let your hair go gray. You might look alot older. If you like looking 25 then i would let it stay. Don't hold it to me because some people go gray when they are really young.

You know, there's dye to bring it all to gray, lots of people think gray hair to be very hip on young looking people. Check out the gray on the chick from TLC's What Not to Wear - people rave over her stripey naturally gray hair. Go for it! It's you, and if you decided later on that you don't like it, guess what? You can dye it! I think it'll be great!

Look at Taylor Hicks. He's in his late 20s, completely gray and still kinda cute. And he won American Idol.
If dying your hair all the time is too much of a hassle, go gray. You can ALWAYS change it if you don't like it.

That is such a personal decision--it depends how you feel about how the gray suits you.I have a 35 year old friend who stopped dying her hair, and let the gray show, and she looks terrific! You can still look youthful and be gray...think Anderson Cooper.

I would keep coloring it. Although some people with gray hair at a young age (because I think 31 is still very young) looks nice.
But it depends on if it would bother you, if not I say keep it natural.

Most people do not consider gray hair very attractive, but who says that you have to listen to what society thinks. They also think that we should all have huge boobs and a size 2 waist. Just do what makes you feel beautiful.
