Does anyone drive a car in Boston rather than take a train?

Why or why not? Are there any other common forms of transportation in the Boston University area? What do you recommend?

I drive a car in Boston UNLESS it is rush hour (when most other commuters are on the road). During those hours, I much prefer to take the train. Boston University is pretty well serviced by the subway and busses. Since parking can be a HUGE problem, I would recommend using public transportation whenever possible. The only reason I use a car is because I live outside the city and have to drive in.
