Depends on what the rest said, do you understand me Dear. Good luck.

I don't know the rest of this story, but I really don't think that a husband should be calling another woman that is not his wife "dear". And threw sms at that, kind of make a person wonder about it. There should be reason why you should not be aloud to look at his sms any way. You are married to this man, he should have nothing what so ever to hide. I would ask him what it is all about.

It could really be anything. If the salutation of the email/message is "Dear _____, how are you?", it is absolutely nothing. If he's calling the woman "dear" while talking about sexual things, then yeah, he's cheating on you. If he's talking to her about completely innocent things like work, interior decorating or astrophysics and calls her "dear", it's probably nothing. I call my female clients and co-workers "dear" on occassion and mean nothing by it.

It's really too hard to tell unless he just calls this one person "dear" a lot.

I would think that if he had a history of cheating or straying then it would be something to worry about but as previously state it is a common word used by men and women toward others. So I would say "No Worries."

confront him but dont do it rudely. he may mean nothing by it. its just a common word used for endearment. id ask but ask nicely or over a nice dinner. just act like something is bothering you and hell ask. but do remember you were being a sneak. DO NOT expect a quick nice response. quiltly or not he will still be mad that you were playing detective on him. that is just wrong. do appologize for that, however you do have the right to know if he cares for someone else.

Ask him about it. Don't jump to conclusions. GIve him the benefit of the doubt.

"Dear" is a common salutation. Ever write a snail mail letter?
