You said the person who initiated the complain is dead, well there is no complain.

Best take a lawyer and have court vacate the case. That way you are cleared for sure.

Actually you may not need to do anything in certain case depends on the details of the case.

But your question is not very clear.Can you elaborate what cause of action arose and a little about the case history ?

I think the legal heirs will have to be brought to the case.
