Do you think 12 and a half is too young to date a 13 and a half old boy?

it all depends on the maturity of the two people, and the sseriousness of dating...
if your just dating for fun i think your fine, but if your dating to get into one of those serious omg i can't live without you relationships, maybe wait another year.

i'm the last person to ask seeing as how i didn't get asked out for the first time until i was 23. i'm 26 now. but as long as it's kept innocent i don't think there is anything wrong with going together at 12 or 13. just wait for the other stuff until u graduate. otherwise it'll rule your life and make it hard to do well at anything else.
p.s. i'll probably be keeping my daughter on a short leash when she gets to that age. i'll have to chaperone if there are actually any outings.

I believe dating should be done in high school. Anything under 14-ish is too young. Why do young teenagers want to date anyway? I mean there are so many things you could be out there doing instead of concerning your mind on dating? You're way too young to be dating. Go have fun with your friends instead...

Yeah at 12 I was worrying about my next cheer-leading event not being hot in the pants to start being in boys faces i did not date until i was 17.

well my daughter is 7 and i dont think i would allow her to date till she is 16 and that still scares me but 12 and 13 is to young for me but thats my opinion

Come on people. If you are dating at 12, what in the world do you do on the date? If your parents let you date at 12, they are brain dead. This is the age to hang out with kids your own age. This is just asking for trouble. If you are allowed to date at 12 or 13, then you will need more and more to satisfy you and you'll want to be married at 14. Come on people. Give me a break, please. Let your kids be kids. And kids, please enjoy your childhood, and quit trying to grow up so fast. You don't want all the responsibility that comes along with this young dating crap. Please stop the madness. You parents out there who let your kids date so young, are making it extremely hard on us parents who don't.

personally dont think you should date until high school. But you can go out with a boy as a friend at any age.

That is way too young. I don't think girls should be able to date until they are 16 and know of consequences better.
