If you want to be a collector there is no amount. As many as there is is good. But if your just a kid, 2 or 3 is enough.

Well, let's see........ some kids think no number is too many. If they are happy with them, I suggest getting them a bear every birthday or Christmas. My grandma started giving me collectors dolls when I was about 6 ever birthday and Christmas, and now that I'm 12, I told her I finally have enough! However, if you get the vibe that the kids aren't enjoying them, plain and simple - don't buy 'em! Or, what might be cool, (if they do like 'em) is to make a tradition of every birthday bringing them to build a bears. But then again, if they kids never want to stop getting the bears, 7 or 8 might be a good number to stop at.

i think it was so stupid when my friends little sister would go to the mall every month and would build one for $50. You can just easily buy a teddy bear for 1/2 that its a total ripoff.
but if you really like teddy bears then i guess its OK if you go and make a couple of your own but no more then 3 or its a waste

i think the most you should have is 5 . BECAUSE WHEN YOU GET LIKE 10 YOU HAVE TO BYE CLOTHES FOR THEM . i know someone that has a lot of bab's( build a Bear's).
when she gets clothes for one she has to get it for the rest of them ,i mean its not bad if your a collector . you have to remember, that money is coming out of you pocket.if you have more than 10 you could have got some clothes with that money,some Cd's,or even get any thing with that money. but it depends on why you buy them like you said if your a collector .

I think 3 is enough if u made it yourself, .... but if u buy the limited edition ones then the limit should be when your house is to full to fit anymore

Probably three...but it just depends. If someone really likes them, they should be able to have as many as they'd like. Personally, I'd stop at three.
