I found this from another question its nice an american who actually isn't arrogant and is nice

Unfortunately, I think that English people have the stereotype of being boring and ordinary because of the way they are portrayed in American TV and film. Visit England and you'll find that they are anything but. My husband and I visited for ten days in 1997 and every person we met was friendly and welcoming. In many ways, I think Americans are more uptight than the British. Think of it this way...the British have their neighborhood pubs, where families actually are actually welcome. We still have issues, laws, and regulations about alcohol, despite having one of the highest alcoholism rates in the world. The British have a free health care system and reproductive rights, while here in America we still have huge debates about abortion rights, and no national health care system to take care of those who need it most. Plus, the British sense of humor is so much wittier and genuinely funny than America's, where we rely on slapstick comedy to get laughs (like the movie, Jackass, for example). I'd love to live in England for a while, just waiting for someone to send me a plane ticket!

No, I don't think Americans have any dislike for the British. Also, I think it's hard to generalize the characteristics and opinions of a whole entire nation ..especially one as diverse as the United States.

I think the English are very nice people and that, in general, the stereotypes of them being boring and uptight are not true. And no, I do not think the British dislike Americans. ... However, I would say that Americans are probably not the Brits most favorite people. They seem to like Australians and Canadians better, but that's probably because of the historical ties of those countries share.

I have liked the Brits I have met very much. I enjoy being around people from other parts of the world besides my little spot in America.

British people suck. I know some british people who live not far from where I live and their sole purpose for being in this country is to take jobs from citizens who need them, badmouth the country (and refuse to become citizens to be allowed to vote and change it), and promote the dislike I have for the british.
