I am suffering from macular degeneration, and soon will be legally blind.
now I keep on having this dream, that I had an eyetransplant, but when the operation is finished, and I get to look in the mirror for the first time, I totally freak out, because they are not my eyes i am looking into, eventhough they are blue like my own eyes, they look like killer eyes, and it tottaly freaks me out.
can someone tell me what this may mean.
an additional fact is, that I have no health insurance, and this operation, should it become available, is tottaly beyond my means.
Any input would be appreciated.

It is your apprehension and anxiety about the operation manifesting themselves in your dreams. It's your brain's way of dealing with something anxiety provoking so you will be less anxious while you're awake ... a coping mechanism if you will.
As for the financial aspect, maybe you can get medicaid or something along those lines since you will be blind, you will also qualify for disability for supplemental social security income and health insurance. Also, search for macular degeneration support groups/message boards and or government information sites starting with HHS and NIH .. you may be able to get the operation for free at a teaching hospital such as Hopkins in Baltimore.

Dreaming of being blind symbolizes a disorder in your perception and intuition. If you dream of having someone elses eyes, you fear being observed or "found out" about. Having a killers eyes, could mean that your anger or resentment has been hidden. It could mean you want to eradicate some aspect of your own personality, in which case the dream suggests low self-esteem or a negative attitude towards yourself.
Quick Analysis: You are having problems with your eyes and you are afraid that someone is going to find out. You are upset about this condition, so you are not feeling to postitive with yourself, creating low self esteem.
