You don't 'forget' - you remember the fun you had togethere and miss that! It gets easier after a few years...Anne Morrow Lindbergh said (about her son) 'after the first year, you can no longer say, this time last year, I had him; this time last year I held him' - and it's very true. After a year or so, your heart will stop remembering the scarey way she died, but will remember your fun times. That part you don't want to forget. (I lost a stepson in 1984 to a motorcycle accident...I still never see a bike near a big car without imagining what happened to my boy. So it takes a while to get over it! I have since lost 2 fiances, and two beloved cat children.) You can get past it, but you'll have to practice the old AA thing: one day at a time. Good luck.

If you were really good friends, why would you want to forget her? A Memorial is the best way to remember her.

well try not to mention her at all. like, when you try to discuss this problem on yahoo answers, your already remebering her. try not to ask for help or mention her all together. i kno this might seem like a stupid answer but it worked for me.
