Suggest a vibrator; that an and an appointment with a gynecologist / therapist / counselor - someone she can trust who can tell her that it is OK to experiment a bit in a loving, adult, consenting relationship.
"she won't allow it" sounds like she was brough up in one of those "sex is for procreation, not recreation" religions. He should move slowly; she isn't going to change overnight.

Most women cannot climax by regular intercourse- they usually need some outside stimulation.If she will not allow that,then he should ask her to show him how she does it herself or let her do that part while he does his.

Tell your friend to take his wife out and get her drunk, then have his way with her. She should recall how good the climax was. Then she may want to try it out with out being drunk.

Well there is some women out there that has never had one or just once in awhile. As long as she is happy and he makes her feel good, leave it at that. A woman don't have to do that to "feel good" when he is making love to her.

try sticking it in.. or tell her to do it herself. get a shower head with 22 settings thats on a hose ( its at walmart) and have her to it herself. go get some toys or movies that she wants. if that doesnt work and she cant do it herself shes just a prude and he should leave her.

There really isn't much he can do. It sounds like she doesn't have much interest in sex from the sounds of it. Hope that things change for him, but it also takes time.
