The song is "Live like you were dying" by Tim Mcgraw...and if I got that kind of news, the first 5 things I would do are....

1. Take a lot of Pictures with Friends and Family
2. Have a lot of fun, create many memories
3. Write letters to each of my closest friends
4. Create my Will
5. Have a huge get together with friends and family, tell each of them how much I love them and basically say my goodbyes

The song Live like you were dieing is done by Tim Mcgraw. I got the same news from my doctor about 2 years ago. I got more love more visits more care and now I feel great.I do not know how long I have left and now that I have my life in order I really care but I'm readdyfor what ever happens. As for what I would do for myself,I didn't have a lot of money but with what little I had I tryed to make someone else happy.I did treat a homeless family to a good meal and a place to sleep for the night. That made me feel so good that I do that every time I get my check.

The artist of that song is Tim McGraw. It's a great country song.

1. Take my whole family on a mini vacation where we spent the whole time doing things together that we all enjoy. Watching my family be happy is very rewarding.

2. Buy my family things with the money. At least when I'm gone, they will be able to look at those things (necklaces, rings, blankets, teddy bears, etc.) and think of the good times that we have shared.

3. I would take care of my own funeral and pay all of my bills so that no one is left with the burden of my life bills.

4. I would go get great pictures taken from a photographer and hand them out to family. That may sound conceited, but I know after my mom died, I wanted as many pictures of her as possible.

5. I would throw a huge party at my house and invite everyone with whom I dearly loved throughout my life. I would get to see everyone and have one great last time with them.

I'm so sorry for what your family is going through.

2 weeks to 6 months to live. I guess it would depend on how physically fit I am to do things. If I'm bedridden, then there's not much I'd want to so except have a good bit of visitors throughout the day. If I was still mobile and capable of travelling...I'd take a trip to someplace I've always wanted to go....with people that I'd want to be with.

Aside from that...I'd probably just spend time visiting...and the rest of my time writing in a journal or something so that things I needed to say are on paper for generations to read.

1> Make sure everyone that I love knows it, and remind them daily.
2> Go places I have always wanted to go, but 'never had the time' to go.
3> Get my will and all of my other estate items in order and make my death wishes KNOWN to my family.
4> Take time to do crazy things that I have always wanted to do but was too afraid to do...like skydiving.
5> Spend a lot of time and money planning my 'after passing' party, and strongly request that all my friends and family spend that time celebrating my life, instead of mourning my death.

Tim McGraw. It's a song for his biological father. I would travel, be in nature. Get my affairs in order. And I would read everything I could on death and dieing. I had a scare once and it totally puts life in perspective. I am sure they are adjusting. Make sure you leave no words left unspoken. That's the gift you have of this time.

If it were me in this situation and I had the money to take my kids to Disney World I would do that. And I would take myself to Washington DC.

If money were a problem, I would just be sure I told everyone how much I loved them and I would call my enemies and tell them I forgive them. I would spend every moment I could with my family!

1. Give as much love to everyone you meet.
2. Give of yourself to others in need.
3. Give your time to love ones.
4. Give to people in need.
5. Remember giving is better then taking even when death is near.

Tim McGraw recorded the song.
I think what your family member chooses to do with the time left is totally up to them.
They may not feel like doing much.
Just be close to them, be good to them and try your best to bring them joy not sadness.
