Sometimes friendships fall apart, its a way of life...

But don't tell your kid that... Find out why they're not friends anymore, and suggest reasons why this happened, as well as ways in which it might be possible for the friendship to be renewed...

All kids go through a phase where they have fights with their friends... Don't you remember being a child and fighting over the stupidest of things? If they were truly best friends then I wouldn't worry to much, things usually work out for the best (Just be there for your child so they know that the entire world is not coming to an end over this)

You can try to elicit from him the reason for this break. Perhaps it is nothing but some childlike excuse in which case while you may comfort him do not pay much attention or nurse his grievance. Perhaps there is no grievance but childish impatience. It will dissipate of itself and before you know they friends will be back on talking terms and would not know when they made up.These acts of Acceptance and Denial are quite common in childhood. But the emotional upheaval, however, temporary is quite genuine so do not ridicule it.

On the other hand the friend from whom he broke is bad company try to persuade him to forget the association. If necessary you may have to change his school also to avoid constance contact with the unsdesirable friend of his.

Hope this is not so serious.

Freinds come and go, and some times they come back. Young kids feel that the world is over. Just tell him or her that they will make new freinds and befor they know it they will forget all about the lost friend.

Well depending how old he is, depends on how you talk to him and handle the situation. If he is little...then I would let him know that sometimes friends argue, but true friends always stick together and they will be friends again in no time.
If your kid is old enough to realize this already....then I guess just talk to them, maybe sharing with you why they arnt friends anymore will help you decide what the best thing to say is...

First ask him wat caused the misunderstanding. If you're friends with his friends mum, talk to her so she can talk to ur son's friend. While you to make him feel better, spend more time with him, give him some treats.tell him how sorry you are abt it and tell him that it's just a lil misunderstanding and things will turn out well.As a kid he'll need you around him. When he's going to school give him wat he needs and tell him not to be hard on himself and not to let it weigh him down dat everything will be fine.So as the day goes by you'll ask him if things are progressing for you to know wat step you'll take next in helping him.Gudluck.Cheers.
