Life is what you make of it. We're all here for a reason, but that reason is different for every single one of us. The purpose of us living is to fulfill the above, to find out the reason we're here and achieve the goal in satisfying ourselves that we've found out that reason and completed it.

the meaning of life is "period of time that something is alive." Life is a name for complex structures that can reproduce themselves. There is no point to life; it is simply a by-product of the gradual running down of the universe according to the physical laws. We live because our parents reproduced.
Personally I suggest trying to look at this situation as a blessing. At least we have a clean slate with which to work. Make your own reasons for being here.

Why is that you need to know it, don't tell me you are going to stop death..uhh Life has no meaning, is only reproduction to keep the species, birth, aging and death that is the cycle, and when life stops it's all over, there is no beyond, no tomorrow no heavens, ho hell, no nothing..Materialistic eh?, that's the crude reality of life as we know it..☺

Why does there have to be one ? Do your best, take care of the ones you love & enjoy yourself along the way: its no more complicated than that, really. As people, we yearn for something greater to give meaning to what happens to us but we just have to understand that we cannot control everything that affects us.
