I have recently stopped talking the Pill b/c of the weight gain I got. I still haven't received my period and it's been atleast a month since my last period. I've heard it takes a while to have your period again after taking the pill; also it only takes one day to get rid of the Pill out of your system. What's going on?

Try not to worry too much, this happened to me. It took me about 3 months for my body to get back into it's usual rythm. Also if you are worrying, the stress can cause your period to be late.
If you are definitely not pregnant, try to forget about it for a couple of weeks, if still nothing, try talking to your GP.

Your body doesn't respond well to fluctuating hormone levels. Have you taken a pregnancy test?

your body isn't use to having your period or being able to reproduce so it needs to regulate itself again
