I have had guinea pigs and that is the most exotic I have had. I have helped the occasional hurt turtle, but only kept them long enough to take them to the vet. I was just curious to know what other people had.

Same here. I have two pet rats. If it hadn't of been for my friend getting two and seeing how adorable and friendly they are, and how non-gross there tail is, I would of never got them. Another reason I got them was because I am a huge rodent fan! I love small animals and have had pretty much all rodents there is and the results are not so good. Hamsters bite and STINKY, Gerbils are to active, Mice are too small to hold and too active, guinea pigs are too jittery, rabbits poop too much and so on. So when my best friend introduced me to the wonderful world of rats I was hooked. It took me 8 months to convince my mom to get them, and now that i have them the whole family loves them! They are super social, super friendly, and super loves bugs. I have two little girls and they are by far the best rodents I've ever had! They sit on your shoulder, they purr and chatter there teeth, and if your lucky you might even get a few kisses! Mine give me kisses on my ears and face! haa.

Well we have pet rats. yes I know they aren't exactly 'exotic', they are rodents for god's sake! But they are so cute and friendly, they sit on our shoulders and chatter away! We got them because I wanted something different, they are easy to care for except in summer they can become quite smelly because of the heat. Apart from that, they are just A D O R A B L E!

Hello = O )

I have three chinchilla's and two sugar gliders. Oh and two chihuahua's but they aren't real exotic. I got all of them because I love animals and I don't have kids yet so its nice to have something to come home too and spoil.

We have 4 iguanas...3 of them are rescues. We took in the rescues because they were in need of a better life. We also have a bearded dragon and Leopard Gecko (which, both of these were rescues also).

I have Macaws. A military macaw (see picture: http://www.wingwatchers.com/images1/macaw1.jpg ) and his name is Rio. And, I have a baby Greenwing Macaw (see picture:

I got them because well, if birds are my passion, Macaws are my weakness. They're companions, they do everything with us, they're SO smart (like a 5 year old with a can opener attached to his face) and they're so snuggly and lovable!
