hi, I'm 19 DPO and 5 days late on my period... and 2 hpt's (first response early pregnancy test) have come out negative. I have been feeling really tired, been throwing up for the last 6 days, having twinges and cramps in my abdomen and having headaches all the symptoms of pregnancy. Has any one experienced this and been pregnant and when did the test come out positive... if not what else was it that made your period late? thanks in advance...

With my first pregnancy, I was tired all the time, had headaches, etc. but the pregnancy tests kept saying negative over and over again. It wasn't until I was about 8 weeks along before they finally said that I was pregnant. It truly drove me nuts because I knew i was, but the tests kept saying otherwise. Just hang in there and wait it out a week or so and take another test.

You could ask your Dr. for a Beta HCG test. That would be the best answer for you (better than a HPT). Or you could not be producing enough HCG to be detected in your urine just yet.

Stress can also make your period late.

THAT IS DEF. ALL THE SIGNS OF PREGNANCY...BUT DONT FORGET THAT YOUR MIND PLAYS TRICKS ON YOU!!

TRY TESTING LATER ON MAYBE IN A WEEK, 1ST MORNING URINE, IF STILL NO AF, CALL YOUR DOCTOR, TRY NOT TO STRESS WHICH IS THE MAIN CAUSE OF PERIOD DELAY!!!
