What I want to do is to have the whole Sims 2 collection. This is very easy to do. I just go out and buy them. The problem is that I don't have enough memory on my computer for 10 Sims games let along other numerous PC games I have! Is there a way I can burn any saved game data onto blank CD's? I want to do this because I want to keep all my games and I still play them all (some more than others and at different times) but I still want to keep the saved game data for all of them so I don't want to uninstall them and lose all data so I thought I could save the data on blank discs and then uninstall the game and the next big time I feel like playing it (eg I want to suddenly play it for weeks on end!) then I just reload the saved game data and install the game again and I'm back where I left off. Is it possible to so this? If so, how?

You can absolutely do what you want, just be sure to back up all the data you need. For example, to keep your Sims 2 saved games you need to back up everything in the following directories...

C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\
C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods\
C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Saved Sims\
C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Projects\

The other Sims games probably save their data in the "My Documents" folder as well, but you may want to double-check before you delete anything.

I know this can work with the Sims 2 because I did this when my game screwed up and I lost my custom neighborhood. I had made back-up CDs of all my files after my computer nearly crashed and was able to get most of my old game back.

It should work with your game, but make sure you copy EVERYTHING. Just recently I tried burning just what I thought were the essential files that made my game different from the original, not-played-with version so I could load it onto another account of my sister's computer so I can play while I'm home, but it only managed to mess up the game on that account and now I have to start a new game on another account if I want to play.

Yes. You could try downloading the data to a CD, but make sure you test the CD before you delete the files. Hope it works! It did for me. Good Luck!

You can't. I don't think. Sims 2 is copyright. It might not let you. Just delete some other stuff off your computer. I don't think you can install the game again then get back where you left off.
